Powell, Kellim and Barrett Brown are Shifting Gears on Brain Health.
In August 20-26, 2023, they cycled the French Alps to raise awareness and funds to support brain health—their term for mental health.
This event, the Haute Route Alps, is considered to be one of the highest and most challenging events—7 days, 470 miles and 66,000 feet of total elevation gain through the mountains of France (Megéve to Nice).
Powell, Kellim and Barrett have done their part and successfully (and safely) completed the ride and raised several million dollars that will be donated to nonprofit organizations working in the areas of brain/mental health research, education, prevention and treatment. The Shifting Gears on Brain Health Donor Advisory Committee is excited to announce that the application period for grant submissions has begun. The application deadline is May 24, 2024, with decisions to follow in August 2024. Grant recipients will be notified by September 1, 2024.
